What a key person actually does
The one adult who knows your child best — and how that works on a Tuesday.

Every child at Wren House has a key person. It is a legal requirement in the early years, but more importantly it is how young children feel safe enough to explore.
Before your child starts
Your key person visits you, or meets you here, to learn the small things: how your child likes to fall asleep, the name of their cuddly toy, what makes them laugh.
Every day
Your key person greets your child in the morning, changes and feeds them, notices when something is different, and writes the daily note you read in the evening.
When they are away
Every key person has a buddy in the same room who knows your child almost as well, so there is always a familiar face.
