Orchard is for the last year before school. We do the things that actually help children start school well: putting on their own coat, asking for help, waiting a turn, recognising their name, and enjoying books.

We visit the local primary schools with the children in the summer term, and their new teachers come to see them here.

Thursday woods

Every Thursday, Orchard walks to the copse at the end of the lane for the morning. They light a small fire with an adult, build dens, and come back very muddy and very hungry.
